FAQ

Clash Club runs ranked Clash of Clans tournaments for Legend League players. You link your in-game account, enrol in a competition, and your trophy results across one or more rounds decide your final rank. Lowest sum of ranks wins.

Each competition is tied to a specific subtype that decides which Legend tier is eligible:

• Weekly competitions — open to Legend League II & III. Rounds close every Monday at 05:00 UTC.
• Monthly competitions — open to Legend League I. Rounds run for ~4 weeks, aligned to Supercell's monthly season reset cadence.

Tier eligibility is checked at snapshot time, not at enrolment. You can sign up while you're still climbing — but you need to be in the right tier when a round closes to receive a real rank for that round.

Each round we take a single trophy reading at a fixed time. Players are ranked by that reading from highest to lowest (ties share the higher rank, e.g. [200, 200, 180] ranks as [1, 1, 3]). Players who are in the wrong league tier at snapshot time, or whose data is missing, get a penalty rank equal to the number of eligible finishers plus one.

Your championship total is the sum of your rank across all rounds. Lower wins.

• Weekly competitions (Legend II / III): In the final minutes before the Monday close at 05:00 UTC — we read your trophies just ahead of Supercell's reset (retrying from 04:40 to 04:55) so your final standing is captured cleanly.
• Monthly competitions (Legend I): In the final minutes before the season close at 05:00 UTC — we read your trophies just ahead of Supercell's reset (retrying from 04:40 to 04:55) so your final standing is captured cleanly. Note: monthly rounds run on a 4-weekly cadence, not calendar-month-aligned, so the day of the week varies round to round.

You have to be in the eligible tier when a round closes to receive a real rank for that round. If you've dropped out of Legend League by then, you'll get the penalty rank for that round. You can still play and rank normally in later rounds if you climb back.

Yes — enrolment stays open as long as at least one round is still upcoming. You'll receive the penalty rank for any rounds that have already been scored, and you'll be ranked normally from the next round onwards. Once every round is live or scored, enrolment closes.

The scoring engine refuses to score a round if zero participants returned data — that protects against giving everyone the penalty rank during an outage. The dispatcher retries every 5 minutes until data is available again.

Some competitions carry prizes (championship and / or per-round) — you'll see the amount on the competition's page when one is offered. Entry is currently free; we don't charge to play. Prize payouts are handled manually by the admin via the contact details you provide when you win.

When paid-entry tiers and automated payouts launch, this FAQ and our Terms will be updated to cover entry fees, refunds, and tax responsibility.

From your profile, paste your player tag and a one-time API token from in-game. To find the token: open Clash of Clans, tap the gear icon (Settings) → More Settings → API Token. We exchange the token with Supercell to verify ownership, then store the tag against your profile. The token itself is discarded immediately.

A handle is your public username — it gives you a shareable profile at clashclub.app/p/your-handle. Handles are optional; without one your profile isn't publicly addressable.

Format: lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens, 3–20 characters, starts and ends with a letter or digit. From the profile page you can either pick a one-click suggestion derived from one of your linked CoC accounts, or type a custom handle. Reserved names (e.g. admin, support) and obviously offensive handles are blocked automatically.

You can change your handle once every 90 days. The cooldown protects shareable links from going stale right after they spread.

Anyone visiting /p/your-handle sees: your handle, your linked CoC accounts (player name, tag, town hall, league), your competition history (joined / podium / champion), and your best-ever finish. The page is built to be shareable — Discord, Twitter, and iMessage all unfurl it with a custom image.

Not shown publicly: your email address, the Link an account CTA, and any in-progress verification state. Those are private-view-only on your own /profile page.

The minimum we need to run competitions: your Google or Discord sign-in email and display name, your linked Clash of Clans player tag(s), a cache of public Supercell data (in-game name, league tier, trophies, clan), and — if you've claimed one — your public handle.
